FORMER OBAMA OFFICIALS ARE COMMITTING TREASON

WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU CALL AIDING A REGIME GUILTY OF KIDNAPPING AND KILLING AMERICANS? …

After spending $35 million of taxpayer money on two years of exhaustive investigations into alleged collusion between Russia and Trump during the 2016 election campaign, the Special Counsel found insufficient evidence that a crime was committed by any American. In other words, the Democrat’s constant drumbeat of treasonous accusations against Trump, his family and associates were nothing but lies.

For sure, Russia is a geopolitical rival, nearly always acting contrary to U.S. national interests … whether its meddling in elections or supporting our enemies around the globe. However, as nefarious as Russia is and can be, in the past 40 years they have not kidnapped or killed a single American. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of Iran.

In a recent WSJ opinion piece, Iran Has Been at War for 40 Years, the author details numerous kidnappings and killings of Americans by Iran and its terrorist surrogates:

November 1979 – Iranian revolutionaries invaded the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, kidnapped American officials, and held them hostage for 444 days.

April 1983 – Iran established Hezbollah in Lebanon in the early 1980s. In April 1983, Hezbollah attacked the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, killing 63, including 17 Americans.

October 1983 – Hezbollah carried out twin suicide bombings, which killed 241 U.S. servicemen and 58 French military personnel.

The 2000s – The Iranian’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) saw the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq as another opportunity to establish proxy forces. It armed Shiite militias with explosively formed projectiles, a particularly deadly improvised explosive device that killed hundreds of American and coalition soldiers. The Pentagon recently estimated the number of U.S. troops killed by Iran in Iraq at 608. Given that Iran’s client in Syria, Bashar Assad, opened Damascus to anti-American Sunni jihadists, it appears the majority of U.S. casualties in Iraq were caused by Iran and its partners.

January 2016 – Ten America sailors were taken at gun point by Iran’s IRGC. On the day the American crew was released with their vessels, Iran released a series of images and videos that, among other things, showed the U.S. Navy sailors on their knees with their hands clasped behind their heads as they were being apprehended on their vessels. The photos and video, which were used for propaganda purposes and made the sailors readily identifiable, violated articles 13 and 17 of the Geneva Convention.

The Obama administration’s policy of engagement with the Iranian regime strengthened Tehran economically, militarily and geopolitically. When the nuclear deal was implemented in 2016, billions of dollars in sanctions relief filled Iran’s war chest—including the equivalent of $1.7 billion in cash. Instead of helping the Iranian people with that cash windfall, the mullahs funded their terrorist surrogates fighting against American allies in the Mid-East and Africa.

In early May, as the Boston Globe reported, Obama’s Secretary of State John Kerry admitted to working with Iranian officials, potentially undermining Trump’s sanctions aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear weapon advancements, ballistic missile developments and terrorist activities. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo rebuked Kerry, saying: “It’s time to get off the stage for the previous administration.”

Yesterday, the Daily Beast reported that conversations between former Obama officials and Iranian government officials have been ongoing since November 2016. These former Obama officials have been counseling Iran’s leaders on how to respond to U.S. sanctions, while providing status of their talks to only Democrats in Congress. Republicans are rightly outraged, complaining: “It’s not normal for members of the prior administration to publicly side with a hostile foreign power against the current president.”

Mark Dubowitz, CEO of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, says: “Bipartisan support for efforts to block the Islamic Republic’s malign activities strengthens American security.” Logically, the inverse weakens it.

Democrats have a lot of nerve falsely accusing our legally elected President of being a traitor for the past three years while providing aid and comfort, via counsel and currency, to a sworn enemy of the United States.

Who’s really committing treason here?
